SAVING HANFORD
Hanford is now a decommissioned city that currently contains roughly two-thirds of the nation’s highly radioactive waste. The clean-up of this nuclear waste is essential to save the nearby Columbia River that feeds into the Pacific Ocean. Without proper funding and volunteers, the waste could eventually contaminate the ocean.

OUR MISSION
Half Life Ale is dedicated to reversing the damage left behind in Hanford, Washington by the Manhattan Project. Hanford produced material for atomic weapons, leaving the city with over 56 million gallons of nuclear waste. Hanford is the most radioactive place in the United States as of 2022. Half Life Ale aims to raise awareness of the dangerous state Hanford is in, while also providing consumers with a delicious and refreshing beer made using organic fruit.
